Drayke Hardman, a 12 year old boy and victim of bullying in his middle school, died by suicide in February of this year. Drayke’s mother, Samie has said: “Drayke’s personality was all about people. He loved to make people laugh. He loved to do what he could to always make sure that somebody had a friend.”
To continue our mission to provide healing to kids and teens affected by bullying and suicidal intentions, The Background Foundation has partnered with the #doitfordrayke Foundation to host a benefit concert in Drayke’s honor.

To provide healing and resources to kids and teens affected by bullying, mental health challenges, and suicidal intentions.
Presley Aronson is an entrepreneur, country artist, actor, and philanthropist. His drive to help children mainly comes in the form of story telling on television shows or in music videos but that is no longer enough for Presley. Presley has started his own foundation called "The Background Foundation" inspired from the award winning music video about his life. His goal is to provide the resources he did not have as a kid so that no other child or teen will have to feel alone again. It has now become Presley's mission in life to spread kindness to young people who don't need to be blurred out in the background.
Everyone at The Background Foundation is dedicating every asset and connection they have to provide healing and resources to kids and teens affected by bullying, mental health challenges, and suicidal intentions.
This may come from talking to a professional counselor, receiving direction from their idol, or having a community of people just like them. It is our goal that each of these kids and teens will be able to lean on each other and stand up to bullying.
It is our desire to raise efforts to put towards funding the monetary burden it may be to seek a professional, putting on camp/retreat for kids and teens to network and create a community within each other, and to reach out to any one with influence who can help stop bullying. With social media usage at an all time high, even adults are exposed to cyberbullying. This can end if we are able to teach people from a young age how to deal with emotions, grief, trials, and mental health challenges.
